అమెరికాలో నిన్న మరో విమాన ప్రమాదం జరిగింది. ఉదయం 9.53 ప్రాంతంలో ఎఫ్ 18 ఫైటర్ జెట్ సముద్రంలో కూలిపోయింది. వర్జీనియా ప్రాంతంలో ఇది పడపోయింది. అయితే పైలెట్ ప్రమాదాన్ని ముందుగానే పసిగట్టి దూకేయడంతో ప్రాణాలతో బయటపడ్డారు. జెట్ కూలిపోయి వర్జీనియా సముద్రంలో పడిపోయింది. పైలెట్ కూడా అందులోనే పడిపోయారు. నావల్ ఎయిర్ స్టేషన్ ఓషియానా సెర్చ్ అండ్ రెస్క్యూ సిబ్బంది పైలెట్ ను కాపాడి సురక్షితంగా ఒడ్డుకు తీసుకుని వచ్చారు.

గత పది నెల్లో అమెరికాకు చెందిన ఎఫ్ 18 ఫైటర్ జెట్లు ప్రమాదానికి గుర్వడం ఇది ఆరవసారని చెబుతున్నారు. ఒక్కో F/A-18E సూపర్ హార్నెట్ ధర $67 మిలియన్లు ఉంటుందని తెలిపారు. నిన్న పడిపోయిన విమానాన్ని స్ట్రైక్ ఫైటర్ స్క్వాడ్రన్ 83 పైలట్ బ్యాచ్ కు చెందిన పైలెట్ ఒకరు నడిపారని చెప్పారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఆయన ఆసుపత్రిలో చికిత్స పొందుతున్నారని..కోలుకున్నాక ప్రమాదానికి గల కారణాలను తెలుసుకుంటామని నేవీ అధికారులు తెలిపారు. జెట్ ఇంకా సముద్రంలోనే ఉందని...దానిని కూడా రెస్క్యూ చేసి మరిన్ని వివరాలను తెలుసుకుంటామని అన్నారు.
