Chess Olympiad 45 : చెస్ ఒలింపియాడ్లో ఇండియా హిస్టరీ క్రియేట్ చేసింది. చెస్ ఒలింపియాడ్ 45వ పోటీల్లో పురుషుల జట్టు ఫస్ట్ టైమ్ గోల్డ్ మెడల్ సాధించింది. స్లోవేనియాతో జరిగిన చివరి 11వ రౌండ్లో డి.గుకేశ్, అర్జున్ ఇరిగేశీ, ప్రజ్ఞానందలు గెలుపొందారు.

ఇక 45వ చెస్ ఒలింపియాడ్లో భారత పురుషుల జట్టు తొలి ఎనిమిది రౌండ్లలో గెలిచి, తొమ్మిదో రౌండ్ డ్రాగా ముగించింది. పదో రౌండ్లో 2.5-1.5తో అమెరికాను ఓడించింది. చివరి 11వ రౌండ్లో స్లొవేనియాపై ఘనవిజయం సాధించి మొదటిసారి స్వర్ణ పతాకం గెలుపొందింది.
